It's a sideways sequel of sorts to the OUTER LIMITS episode "Moonstone" which guest starred Tim O'Connor as a bitter Korean War veteran out for revenge. On the FUGITIVE episode, O'Connor also plays a bitter Korean War veteran our for revenge against The Fugitive. Interestingly, "Taps for a Dead War" aired about 8 days after "Moonstone". |

There is only one as far as I'm concerned --the fraud currently being perpetrated on Showtime ( making the Sci-Fi Channel an accessory after the fact) is typical post-Star Trek/Star Wars B.S.... budget-heavy, uninspired and, worst of all, boring a hell! I did check out the "Sandkings" premiere and while I thought the producers had, at least, tipped their hats to the true and only Outer Limits, I came away from it with an empty feeling-- it needed something... Conrad Hall's camera work, Frontiere's music, b/w photography... a soul maybe... |

I have loved this show since the first episode premiered on September 16, 1963, at 7:30 p.m., on the ABC Television Network The title was "The Galaxy Being" and it starred Cliff Robertson, Jacqueline Scott, and Lee Philips. I have been a great fan eversince. "The Outer Limits" was a very intelligent, deep, sensitive show. Joseph Stefano and Leslie Stevens and their staff put together a quality show. It has been my all-time favorite show on television, and now shares that No. 1 spot with another great show, which reminds me very much of "The Outer Limits" and that is "The X-Files." "The X-Files" is also very intelligent, deep, and sensitive. It is hard to put into words, but both shows are just plain good and in my opinion, unequaled in what ever has been on televsion. It is my dream that someday Joseph Stefano and Chris Carter can co-write an episode of "The X-Files" together. What a dynamite episode that would be. Thank you. - Jim |

I was scared to death, 7 years old, and pushed to learn a very good parable in life with a very well written script. Cliff Roberts portrayal of a wondering scientific explorer shaped my need to learn all the way when we landed on the moon later that decade. | |

I was the young SS leut, that did all the nasty stuff. Of course Jan Rubes played Karl Rademacher in the present and older as Robert Greene.
